Job Description
Job Summary:
The Career Services Manager is responsible for leading and delivering comprehensive career development services to students and alumni. This role focuses on enhancing student employability, building strong employer partnerships, and supporting successful career outcomes through guidance, training, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement career services programs, including workshops, career fairs, employer presentations, and networking events
- Provide one-on-one career advising to students and alumni on career planning, CV writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners, and recruitment agencies to create internship and job opportunities
- Promote graduate employment initiatives and track employment outcomes and statistics
- Collaborate with academic departments to align career services with academic programs and labor market trends
- Manage and promote job portals, internship programs, and recruitment campaigns
- Organize on-campus and virtual recruitment events
- Lead initiatives that enhance student employability skills, including soft skills and professional development training
- Supervise career services staff and oversee daily operations of the department
- Stay informed about industry trends, employment markets, and best practices in career development
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in career services, recruitment, or student services, preferably within a higher education environment
- Strong knowledge of job market trends and recruitment practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience with career management platforms and recruitment tools is an advantage
