Mechanical Engineering Graduate Teaching Assistant

Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineering department is looking for a Mechanical Engineering graduate to join our Master’s program and work as a graduate teaching assistant at the same time. The applicant is expected to possess an outstanding academic record with an ability to conduct laboratory experiments and guide student teams.

RIT Dubai supports this position and the expected duties, requirements and benefits of the position are as follows:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct machine shop trainings under the supervision of course faculty.
• Help the lab manager in tidying the workshop and inforce safety within the workplace.
• Perform other duties related to department’s teaching / research as assigned or needed.

Candidate Profile:

• BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Fulfilling the admission requirements of the Master’s in mechanical engineering program.
• A GPA of B or above and an ILETS of 6.5 or the equivalent in TOEFL.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in conducting machine shop/ machine tool operations training is an advantage.
• Previous experience in teaching/ tutoring is an advantage.
