Coding and Robotics Teacher-URGENT

Our client is a very dynamic NGO that is focusing on tech education through teaching Coding & Robotics to students aged 5 to 21.

We are  looking for Teachers to join ASAP and teach a designated group of students that suits the tutor's preference and skillset. 

Required Skills:

• Min 1 year prior teaching experience.
• For teachers for ages 5-11: Background in science, maths, coding, or similar.
• For teachers for ages 12-21: Technical skills in STEM/coding/robotics, though university degree is not required - preference is for teaching ability.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and connect with the specified age group.
• An interest in developing teaching skills.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Teaching coding and robotics classes to underprivileged youth in schools in Lebanon (including both remote and in-person) using the existing curriculum.

2. Tutoring children internationally through our partner social enterprise.

3. Attending training sessions and meetings, as required. We train all of our tutors in child psychology and our teaching methodology, with up to 33 hours of training available each year.

Terms of Contract

• This is a full time job (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some flexiblity). The actual teaching hours are 12 hours a week, in addition to preparation hours.
• All salaries are paid in fresh dollars.
• Pay is $800-1000 per month, depending on experience.
• Part-time contracts (3 days per week): $600 per month.

References

Two references familiar with your work with children are required, as well as a sijil 3adali/ police clearance.

The initial contract will be a temporary agreement for 2 months, after which performance will be reviewed and there will be a possibility to move to a permanent employee contract in line with Lebanese labour law, including benefits through NSSF (transportation, family/school allowances, etc.).
