Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an outstanding, innovative Science Educator to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate is a motivator who creates a supportive classroom environment. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physics, or a relevant Scientific discipline with valid teaching credentials.
Proven experience teaching IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Integrated Sciences and Diploma Programme (DP) Physics.
Strong background in managing school laboratory environments and scientific equipment.
Key Skills
High-level understanding of MYP/DP scientific inquiry, pedagogy, and educational research.
Ability to inspire diverse learners through differentiated instruction and hands-on lab experiments.
Proficiency in STEM curriculum design using Understanding by Design (UbD) and Assessment for Learning (AfL) principles.
Exceptional communication skills in English and excellent classroom time management.
Main Responsibilities
Design, implement, and review the MYP Integrated Sciences and DP Physics curriculum in collaboration with coordinators.
Deliver high-quality, engaging science lessons that promote critical thinking, research skills, and student well-being.
Develop effective assessment systems aligned with IB criteria to track and report scientific competencies.
Ensure lab safety protocols are strictly followed during practical experiments.
Contribute to professional development, staff meetings, and extracurricular school activities.
Support the school’s ongoing IB authorization goals and promote global citizenship.
