Role Overview
An established international school is seeking outstanding, innovative Language Educators to join our diverse faculty. We are expanding our team to support two key programmatic pillars: Home Language / Mother Tongue Development and Language Acquisition (Additional Languages). The successful candidates will be motivating communicators who champion multilingualism and foster intercultural respect within a globally-minded student body.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or specific Language Literature with valid teaching credentials.
Proven experience teaching within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) language frameworks.
Strong track record in developing student-centered, inquiry-based literacy and language programs.
Native fluency in the target language paired with professional proficiency in English.
Key Skills
High-level understanding of MYP language pedagogy, criterion-related assessment, and global contexts.
Ability to support both fluent speakers (literary heritage) and language learners (acquisition) through differentiated instruction.
Capability to promote cultural diversity, inclusion, and student pastoral care.
Exceptional communication, collaborative leadership, and time management skills.
Main Responsibilities
Design, implement, and review the MYP Language curriculum in close collaboration with department coordinators.
Deliver high-quality lessons that cultivate strong oral, writing, and analytical skills.
Develop effective assessment systems aligned with IB language criteria to track and evaluate student progress.
Actively contribute to professional development, staff initiatives, and extracurricular school activities.
Foster a deep appreciation for global citizenship, multilingual awareness, and intercultural understanding.
